It is no secret that Duchess Meghan has been scrutinized in the media ever since her relationship with Prince Harry was announced and they married back in 2018. She has faced great criticism as a wife, a mother and a member of the British Royal Family and we can't even begin to imagine how difficult the drastic lifestyle change from American actress to Duchess of Sussex must have been.

While having a casual conversation with musician Pharrell Williams on the red carpet at The Lion King premiere, Meghan admitted that being a royal "isn't easy." Pharrell was complimenting her and Harry and their love story by saying that they have a "wonderful union" and that "we cheer you guys on." To which Meghan responded, "thank you, they don't make it easy."
Duchess Meghan: Finding a balance between private and royal duties
This honesty by Meghan reveals just how hard life has been for her under the scrutiny of the media and the public eye. According to a royal insider, Meghan and Harry are having an extremely difficult time finding a balance between their private life and their royal duties especially now with having their son Archie.
This fact alone most likely contributed to their royal exit on March 31, 2020. The family of three is now residing in Los Angeles California.
