- Duchess Meghan started her podcast Archetypes this year
- She has once again angered the British people with a new episode
- People think she's mocking – or copying – the British accent
Since she married Prince Harry, and especially since she stepped down from the British Royal Family, Duchess Meghan's every move has been watched by the public.
Now the former actress has to endure the latest uproar over her behaviour. The reason? In a new episode of her podcast Archetypes, Meghan seems to imitate a British accent.
Did Duchess Meghan really mock a British accent?
As Duchess Meghan greets her guest, actress Jameela Jamil, listeners claim to hear a definite British "hello."
The British media, in particular, is incensed at Meghan's apparent change of accent. But there is also some criticism on Twitter. One user wrote: "Now making fun of the British accent? Please Meghan, just shut up."
Also interesting:
Duchess Meghan has often spoken with an indistinct accent, for example, during appearances with fans.
On the other hand, Prince Harry is also said to have adopted a more American way of speaking since he moved there.
But are the two intentionally changing their speech? Or it could simply be due to their time in new environments.
