Where others would run away screaming, Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William have shown great courage. The British royals got up close and personal with exotic creatures during a visit to Kidz Farm in Londonderry.
Duchess Kate fearlessly holds a spider named Charlotte
A very special animal even made it to Duchess Kate's hands: the "Charlotte" tarantula. The 39-year-old bravely let the large, hairy spider crawl on her palms. She smiled and appeared perfectly at ease while holding the creature.
You have to wonder what Kate's 6-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte thinks of the spider. After all, the giant tarantula bears her name of all things!
Prince William also dared to let a snake slip through his hands. As he did so, the royal dad said: "George is going to be so upset!" The young royals probably would've enjoyed meeting the unusual animals.
The Duke and Duchess had plenty of fun on their visit to the North Ireland farm and also observed other animals with interest. The visit came the day following their big appearance at the No Time to Die world premiere in London.
