Duchess Kate honored the Queen with a special piece of jewelry. She wore the pearl necklace she inherited from the late Queen. The Duchess also wpre this piece while she attended Elizabeth's funeral.

In addition to being Patron of the Royal British Legion, she was also the longest-serving Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces.
