Duchess Camilla will have a brand new temporary gig this year! As Hello! recently shared, the Duchess of Cornwall has been announced as the guest editor for Country Life, and it will be released at an important time for the royal.
Camilla to guest edit magazine's anniversary issue
Camilla follows several other members of the royal family in taking on the role, which coincides with milestone birthdays. Her husband Prince Charles guest edited the magazine for his 65th and 70th birthdays. Princess Anne filled in back in 2020, when she turned 70. And days before she turns 75 in July, Camilla's edition will be published!
This particular issue of Country Life is also an extra special one, since it will serve to commemorate the magazine having been around for 125 years! Country Life's editor Mark Hedges called it "a great honour" that Camilla is taking on the role, referring to her as "a passionate countrywoman." Her son, Tom Parker-Bowles, also had some words to share.
He said he's "delighted" that Camilla will be contributing to the magazine, then joking how he hopes "she won't try to muck about with my copy." Not only will Camilla be overseeing the issue's publication— she'll also be contributing content of her own! As Hello! reveals, readers can expect to see the royal write about the animals that are close to her heart, and even share a recipe she loves!
