- Meghan Markle was an actress before she married Prince Harry
- She'd been appearing in TV roles since the early 2000s
- Her first credited part was in THIS legendary soap opera
These days, Meghan Markle is a household name, from her time on Suits to her marriage to Prince Harry.
But there was a time when the Duchess of Sussex was an unknown actress trying to make it in Hollywood.
Meghan's acting career started on a soap opera...
Like many aspiring actors, Meghan Markle's first jobs were guest roles in TV series. Famously, she was also a Deal or No Deal briefcase model in that era.
From the 2000s through the early 2010s, Meghan had single-episode parts on about a dozen TV shows, before she landed her best-known role as "Rachel Zane" on Suits.
And it turns out one of those early parts was on a legendary soap opera. Yes, Duchess Meghan actually appeared in an episode of General Hospital back in the day.
Also interesting:
The General Hospital episode aired in November 2002, and Meghan Markle played the role of a minor character named "Jill."
The future wife of Prince Harry was 21 years old at the time of her General Hospital episode.
It was also Meghan's first credited role as an actor. Though she had earlier appeared as a child in an episode of Married... with Children.
