- Kate's fashionable return
The Commonwealth Day 2025 was celebrated with a moving ceremony in Westminster Abbey. King Charles (76) led the celebrations, accompanied by Queen Camilla (77), Prince William (42), Princess Kate (43) and other members of the royal family.
A special moment between William and Kate, who laughed together, was captured by the cameras. It's rare to see the royals so exuberant.
William and Kate share a heartfelt moment
The presence of Prince William and Princess Kate at the event in Westminster Abbey was particularly significant. The two were seen laughing and joking together, underlining the couple's close bond.
"William must feel so fortunate that Kate has come through this that he wants to tell the world about that love. It shows the intimacy of them sharing that journey together," noted royal biographer Ingrid Seward, according to 'People'. "They are able to express themselves in a way they would never have done before," adds Seward. Most recently there was another sweet moment when William and Kate were seen holding hands.
Kate's return to public appearances was eagerly anticipated, especially after she announced in January that she was in remission.
Princess Kate's fashionable return
Princess Kate impressed with her fashionable appearance in a red dress by Catherine Walker, which she had previously worn on other occasions. The Princess has made it her mission to make her wardrobe sustainable by reinterpreting existing garments. "The bow is the one accessory that she’s repeatedly added and it’s totally transformed previous outfits into something that looks quite different," explained Bethan Holt, fashion director of the 'Telegraph'. This fashion decision reflects Kate's commitment to sustainability.
