Prince Charles: New portrait on his 73rd birthday
"Thank you for the kind birthday wishes for The Prince of Wales today," Clarence House captioned the photo of the birthday boy. In the picture, taken in the garden at Highgrove House, he wears a sharp royal-blue suit with a sky-blue tie.
Fans are liking the new photo of Prince Charles, too. The top-voted comment on Instagram reads: "Just a lovely man who will one day be our King."
Another fan added: "Beautiful picture of the birthday boy!!" A royal supporter also commented affectionately: "Happy birthday, Papa Wales."
Prince Charles, now 73, is the longest-serving heir to the throne in British history. He was busy on his birthday this year leading the Royal Family at the Remembrance Sunday service.
At the Cenotaph, Charles even laid a wreath on behalf of the monarch, as his mother The Queen had to cancel her attendance last minute due to a back injury.
