Prince William (42) and Princess Kate (42) are currently going through a difficult time. Kate is still undergoing treatment for her cancer. The couple are currently looking for a new member to join their team.

The royal family has posted a job ad for "providing comprehensive support in relation to correspondence received by Their Royal Highnesses". The position was recently advertised on LinkedIn by the couple's household department, as reported by 'Hello!'

Duties of the full-time job include managing the household's correspondence process, providing suggestions for improvement, and drafting bespoke responses to letters relating to the subjects of Their Royal Highnesses.

The new member of staff will work closely with the Office of the Private Secretaries, the internal communications and visiting teams and the general correspondence team at Buckingham Palace. In addition, the Correspondence Specialist will be expected to communicate with external organizations, local authorities, government and charities.

Although the new team member will work primarily at Buckingham Palace, the job description explains that the new employee will also be required to travel to other royal residences in the UK to fulfill the requirements of the role.

The skills required for the position include excellent communication skills, the ability to understand and interpret complex information, make decisions on appropriate responses and actions, and communicate with internal and external individuals and stakeholders, including very senior ones.

The budget department is looking for a candidate who will "always maintain the highest levels [of] confidentiality and work with extreme tact and discretion". The job advertisement was first published at the beginning of this month and comes at a time when Princess Kate's cancer treatment continues.
