Miranda Lambert is giving new meaning to the phrase "singing like a bird"! The country singer shared the brand-new music video for her song "Bluebird" on Friday, and it shows her actually swinging in a birdcage! "Being in a birdcage all day was a unique experience," Lambert reflected in a live Q&A with fans during the video's premiere on YouTube.
She went on to mention how the "Bluebird" video's requirements posed a unique physical challenge for her. "I was very dizzy. I had to balance all day on that swing," Lambert said. "So, it was a workout!" The song is Lambert's second radio-released single from her most recent album, Wildcard.

Lambert on "Bluebird": "To me, this is a song of hope"
Lambert also commented on the message she hopes people take from "Bluebird". "To me, this is a song of hope," she said to fans in the live Q&A. Lambert also shared that since writing the song, she's been seeing bluebirds everywhere. In a statement for Entertainment Tonight, she talked about how "Bluebird" has changed the way she looks at the birds— and the world.
"The bluebirds had always been there -- I live on a farm-- but I never saw them like I see them now. It reminds me to open my eyes to what's around me," Lambert explained. "Now, seeing a bluebird sitting on a branch means so much more to me. I see a little piece of hope there, sitting with wings, and it's a reminder. I think this is one of those songs where every person takes what they need to from it".
