Emma Watson made her red carpet comeback on Sunday at a ceremony for the Earthshot Prize, the award founded by Prince William. After over a year away from red carpets, the 31-year-old actress wanted to return with a bang.
Emma Watson: Unusual outfit on the red carpet
She did that, too, albeit in a slightly different way than planned. Watson appeared for the event wearing Harris Reed. The look consisted of an asymmetrical white mullet dress, black flared pants and chunky boots.
If it makes you think of a warped wedding dress — you're not wrong. As the designer announced on Instagram, the piece was made out of recycled wedding dresses from a clothing donation organization.
While the straps and the back of the dress give an elegant impression, the contrast between the delicate tulle and black pants and boots clashes as you get further down.
The Harry Potter actress may have missed the mark here, even if her recycled dress fit the environmentally friendly theme.
Prince William, on the other hand, scored points on the red carpet with his green jacket and his wife Kate looked fabulous too. Maybe Emma could grab a style tip or two from the royals.
