- Billie Lourd has now married Austin Rydell
- Her dress was inspired by mom Carrie Fisher
- Lourd also wore a piece of Fisher's jewelry
Billie Lourd has opened up about keeping Carrie Fisher close to her as she walked down the aisle! The star recently got married to Austin Rydell, and in a new interview with Vogue she shared the details of her wedding day look, explaining Fisher's influence on each piece.
Lourd shares "something blue" was Fisher's ring
Lourd talked about her dreamy Rodarte wedding dress, praising the "elegant, ethereal, unique style" of sisters Laura and Kate Mulleavy's designs. She said that she "felt a strong connection" to them because of their shared California roots and ties to her late mom. That's because as Lourd explained, the brand first came on her radar after the Mulleavys interviewed Fisher back in 2014.
The star admitted that she "immediately fell in love" with their style, and the two "were the first people who came to mind" when it was time to create the look for her big day! Lourd also revealed how Fisher's influence could be felt in the rest of her ensemble. She shared that the shoes her dad picked out for her "reminded him of the shoes my mom used to wear in the '90s," and said her jewelry came from both parents.

Lourd mentioned that while her dad gave her vintage earrings as her "something old," her "something blue" ended up being her mom's favourite ring, which features a blue stone! Since Fisher's passing, Lourd has paid tribute to her in many different ways, including sharing a song on her birthday. There's no doubt that having her late mom's influence present throughout made her wedding day feel extra special!
