Will Smith is about to make his debut as an author when he publishes a brand-new memoir! On Saturday, Smith took to Instagram to make the exciting announcement that he has penned his first book, and it's available for pre-order now!
Smith says his new memoir is "a labor of love"
Smith revealed that his book is titled Will, announcing that it's now available for fans to pre-order! In a video that showed him having fun with a cartoon face filter, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star proudly showed off a copy of the book, which he called "a labor of love."
The actor shared that he had "been working on it for the past two years," but Will is now "finally ready." According to Entertainment Tonight, Smith's book chronicles his life and career, with the description calling it "the story of how one person mastered his own emotions, written in a way that can help everyone else do the same."

Smith's book may be named after him, but the title also appears to have a secondary meaning! "Once you've learned the terrain of your own mind, every experience, every emotion, every circumstance, whether positive or negative, simply propels you forward, to greater growth and greater experience," he says in the memoir's description. "That is true will."
And on Sunday, the actor posted another video that gave fans a look at how the art for the cover of Will was created! He mentioned how the graffiti-style portrait art contains "5 layers, each repping a different stage of my life," showing artist Brandan Bmike Odums working on the piece.
