The 37-year-old singer surprised her fans by covering the classic Mister Rogers' Neighborhood opening theme song "Won't You Be My Neighbor?". The "Dark Side" singer was accompanied by dancer Mason, who acted out Fred Rogers’ traditional entrance in silhouette.

Kelly Clarkson performed her version of the legendary track on The Kelly Clarkson Show as a tribute to her guest Tom Hanks and his role as "Fred Rogers" in the new film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which was released a couple of weeks ago. In order to prepare for his role, Tom Hanks did some research at the Fred Rogers Center in Pennsylvania to learn more about the late television personality.

"Won't You Be My Neighbor?" is best known for appearing at the beginning of each episode of the educational children's series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, performed by Fred Rogers himself. The show ran from 1968 to 2001 and was created to give kids quality television programming, just as good as that for adults. Unfortunately the wonderful Fred Rogers passed away in 2003 at the age of 74 but he left behind an amazing legacy!
