This is how Liam Payne spoke about his son
In addition to fans and stars from all over the world, the singer's family is also mourning. Liam Payne leaves behind his seven-year-old son Bear Grey, whom he had with Cheryl Cole in 2017.
On his 31st birthday in August, Payne recently spoke about his son in an Instagram video: "I didn’t get any dad socks yet. But I am going to speak to my son in a little bit, which I’m really excited about. Bless him. He’s so big now. He’s a big boy, and he looks like a mini-me, as if we need anymore me in the world."
These words show the deep connection he had with his son, who Liam saw regularly despite his separation from Cheryl. In 2022, he told 'People' that he spent time with Bear two to three times a week. "And I make sure when I see him, he has 100% of my time. I make sure that I’m not on my phone or dicking around somewhere else."
