Céline Dion and René Angélil married on December 17, 1994, at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montréal, with the ceremony broadcast live on Canadian television. Four years later, Angélil was diagnosed with throat cancer. In 2000, he was declared cancer-free, and the couple renewed their vows in Las Vegas. However, the cancer returned in 2014, and Angélil passed away in 2016. In 2022, Dion revealed her diagnosis of Stiff-Person Syndrome and shared, "I’m still married to René. He’s still my husband.
