Jacqueline Ray: Revisiting Tom Selleck's first marriage
Way back in 1971, a young Tom Selleck tied the knot with Jacqueline Ray. Also known as Jacki Ray, she was a model and actress at the time. She and Selleck would remain married for over a decade.
Though not as famous as her husband, Ray did pick up around a dozen screen credits in the 1960s through '80s, including two episodes of Magnum, P.I.

Details on why the couple split are hard to come by, but Tom Selleck did deny that it had anything to do with his newfound fame on Magnum, P.I. in the '80s.
"It's not true," Selleck told People Magazine of that rumour. "We separated a full six months before I even shot the pilot of Magnum."
The TV legend added that the break-up was "one of the great sorrows" of his life, but that he and Jacqueline remained on "good terms" afterward.
Selleck would marry Jillie Mack five years later in 1987. Jacqueline Ray also remarried in 1992 to Clarence Barry Witmer.
