Lauren Lane found fame starring in the hit nineties series The Nanny. As "C.C. Babcock" she wowed audiences with her portrayal of an arrogant, unfeeling businesswoman from money. She was the exact opposite of "Fran Fine", played by Fran Drescher.

She was constantly getting into arguments with "Max Sheffield's" butler, "Niles" (Daniel Davis). However, passionate hate transformed into passionate love and "Niles" and "C.C." ended up becoming an item. "C.C." married "Niles" in the last ever episode. In the series finale, it was also (finally!) revealed that "C.C.'s" full first name is "Chastity Claire".

While starring in The Nanny, Lauren Lane gave birth to her daughter Kate. She is not married to Kate's father anymore. After The Nanny was discontinued in 1999, she went back to stage acting and appeared in numerous plays, including The Clean House and August: Osage County.

The talented Texan last starred in Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike in 2014. She has been teaching drama at Texas State University since 2003. Her last appearance on the small screen was in the 2004 TV special The Nanny Reunion: A Nosh to Remember.
