Interested in sea animals from an early age, Eliza dreamed of becoming a marine biologist as a little girl. However, after landing a lead role in 2003 on an Australian children's program, Pirate Islands, she would discover her passion for acting.

Before Eliza Taylor became The 100's "Clarke Griffin", she would rise to fame on popular Australian soap opera Neighbours. Taylor would play the part of "Janae Timmins" regularly for two years until 2007 when she decided to leave the series.
