Teen Mom OG's Amber Portwood Moving Quickly With New BF
Amber Portwood is not known for moving slow. Only one episode ago she promised her daughter Leah's stepmom Kristina she wouldn't introduce any new men into Leah's life until she waited a long time and was absolutely sure he is the one. I guess she forgot about that promise because in this latest episode Amber went full throttle with her new Belgium boyfriend Dimitri.
In last week's episode of Teen Mom OG, she brought up the fact she has been dating a man she met online, Dimitri. He is 39, has children of his own back home in Belgium, and does not speak very much English and of course Amber does not speak Dutch or French. The two communicate mostly through Google Translate, 90 Day Fiancé style.
They started dating shortly after her split from Andrew Glennon and during her newest domestic violence trials. This isn't the first man she has met online, TM fans will remember her horrible years with Matt Baier whom she met via Twitter. She was actually the 3rd Teen Mom star he had been hitting up for attention, she was just the only one who gave in and moved in with him.
She was actually with Matt while filming for Marriage Bootcamp when she met Andrew Glennon, a cameraman working onset of the show. The two became pregnant a few weeks later with her son James who she has been taped saying she regrets having.
Teen Mom OG's Amber Portwood Introduces New BF To Daughter Leah
Now she has flown her new handsome online boyfriend into Indiana where the international couple spent 2 days together before Amber introduced him to her daughter Leah over dinner at the Shirley's house. Super kind Leah was charming and welcoming as always. When Amber was asked how they have been getting along since their meeting Amber said "It's been good. We've been trying to talk."
Amber's ex Gary and wife Kristina brought up their concerns privately, mentioning the practicalities of the relationship Amber should have addressed before bringing a new man into Leah's life. They both wonder how their relationship will work since they don't speak the same language and cannot live in the same country considering Dimitri has children back home in Belgium to raise and Amber has partial custody of baby James in Indiana.

Gary justifiably said after the dinner "I mean, I like the guy. Leah seemed to have a good time. I think she just wants this relationship with her mom to continue. She doesn't want to feel second to him." A very understandable concern considering her last few relationships. While she was with Matt Baier she barely saw Leah who lives minutes away, just once or twice in the summer.
Luckily, for Amber, she and Dimitri seem to still be going strong although they are not physically together. She told People that "He's in Belgium. The coronavirus is obviously a big reason [we can't' see each other], and that's okay because a lot of couples at the moment who are still in the same state have to do this."
We'll have to wait and see the next episodes of Teen Mom OG and how they work the kinks out in their relationship.
