Anna Faris

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt seemed to be the perfect couple, but in 2018, the two called it quits for good. Faris and Pratt married in 2008, but by the time 2013 rolled around, after the birth of their first son, Pratt became so busy with the Marvel movies, Faris revealed she didn't feel a priority anymore.

During her own podcast Faris said, "For me, I think after every breakup, at some point I realize that there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn’t have," adding that she didn't feel always supported and that there was quiet competitiveness that took over.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie was once upon a time demonized for her "home-wrecking" when she and Brad Pitt hooked up, but now that her marriage is ending to the Hollywood hunk, she's being candid about the truths behind their marriage!

"Things got bad," she told Vanity Fair. "I didn’t want to use that word...Things became 'difficult.'" She added that it wasn't a negative lifestyle that lead to the divorce, but her subtly surrounding her unhappiness was hard to miss.

Jennifer Aniston

Ah, yes, Jennifer Aniston - another ex of Pitt, who shocked the world with her comments towards her husband during the middle of their divorce. In case you suffer from amnesia, here's a quick re-cap. Jen and Brad where the "it" couple in the early 2000s, and shortly after Mrs. and Mr. Smith hit the theatres, rumours of an affair between Pitt and co-star Angelina Jolie hit the tabloids. It was a very dividing time in Hollywood.

Of her split from Pitt, Aniston said, "There's a sensitivity chip that's missing [from Brad]. He makes his choices. He can do– whatever. We're divorced, and you can see why...I love Brad. I really love him. I will love him for the rest of my life. He's a fantastic man...I really do hope that someday we can be friends again."

Since then, the two have mended fences (sort of), and Aniston has said that the pain and embarrassment from that time "seem like a distant memory", despite fans never forgetting!

Courtney Cox

Another Friends alum makes the list! Courtney Cox opened up about her marriage to David Arquette and revealed that she tried her hardest to make it work.

While Arquette revealed their dirty laundry on Howard Stern, Cox was a lot more secretive about their divorce and shared on the reality series, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, "We found ourselves living separate lives — just coexisting and being great friends, but not having the intimacy that is so important in a relationship."

She continued, "We're just really different, too. I'm the polar opposite of him. And that can be great for a lot of things, but I need this kind of real, one-on-one connection."

Denise Richards would probably like to forget what splitting up from Charlie Sheen was like during his... ahem...breakdown, shall we say. During their split, Richards wasn't shy about expressing the truths surrounding that "toxic" time.

Not only was Richards pregnant with their second child at the time, but the reality star had to file a restraining order against Sheen over alleged death threats. His antics affected her career.

"I didn’t understand it at that time because I thought, 'How come? That’s my private life. It shouldn’t affect my work.' But it did," she said.

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were the talk of the town for a while in Hollywood, and many were perplexed by the relationship. Following their coupling, Holmes converted to Scientology and was slowly becoming distanced from her friends. Furthermore, Cruise apparently didn't like it when she shot sexy scenes and insisted on being on her set when shooting. It was because of this that Holmes took a back seat in her career.

Following their divorce, Holmes has finally spoken out about their marriage and told People in 2015, "I don’t have any fear now, I don’t have a lot of rules for myself, and I don’t take myself that seriously."

Amy Poehler wasn't shy when she talked about her divorce and how upsetting it was to her psyche. When speaking with Hello! Magazine, Poehler revealed how "unspecial" and broken she felt.

"Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands."

She continued, "When you are a person going through a divorce, you feel incredibly alone, yet you are constantly reminded by society of how frequently divorce happens and how common it has become. You aren't allowed to feel special, but no one knows the specific ways you are in pain."

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were once the picture of perfection, but while struggling in their marriage, Affleck turned to alcohol to cope, and during infidelity and addiction, Garner was forced to walk away. While Affleck shares that it is his "life's biggest regret" divorcing Garner, she remained more hopeful and shared that she's grown to accept the reality of their relationship.

"Ben says, 'Oh, you just don't care,' and I say, 'No, it's the opposite.' It hurts me so much, and I care so much," she revealed to People. She also added that it was a very real marriage, and not just for the cameras. "It wasn't for the cameras. And it was a huge priority for me to stay in it. And that did not work."

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise appeared in a few movies together during their marriage, and sometimes their on-screen romances were steamier than the real-life one!

Kidman did reveal that "... divorce is hard for anyone. It's a nightmare - it just is - and you can pretend you're fine. And [there are] days you're great [and] days you're not great."

However, she did throw some shade and notoriously said she could finally wear heels again! Ouch!
