- Joe Rogan is looking to start a new COVID conversation
- Dwayne Johnson has commented in support of Rogan's new stance
- Other celebrities are joining the conversation
Joe Rogan had contracted COVID-19 before the new year and spoke about alternative medicines to vaccination on his podcast, which landed him in hot water in the media. Many claimed that Rogan is spreading misinformation about vaccination, and calls for his podcast to be canceled grew....including singer Neil Young who demanded Rogan's podcast be removed from Spotify!
"The Rock" Takes A Stance
But not everyone in Hollywood was quick to shun Rogan, with many coming to the comedian's defense. This week, it was blockbuster and action movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who voiced his support for Joe Rogan's now infamous comments on the pandemic's public health measures.
Rogan is ready to turn a new leaf, and welcome a new conversation on his podcast surrounding the pandemic and how to finally beat it.
This past Monday, Johnson took to the comments section of Rogan’s Instagram page, where the podcaster had posted a 10-minute video pledging to “do better” and try his best to “balance things out” in future discussions on the coronavirus. Johnson who has been twice vaccinated himself, seemed to like Rogan's new stance.
Also interesting:
Johnson left a simple comment on the video that made big ripples online:
“Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated,” Johnson wrote. “Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you.”
Other celebrities like Chris Pratt and Katy Perry liked Johnson’s comment, joining other famous faces who have voiced their support for Rogan, including democratic politicians in the United States like Marianne Williamson.
But the world-famous podcaster is still not out of the woods...although this latest development will most likely mean that Johnson will be appearing on Rogan's podcast soon to bridge the gap between fans and detractors.
We'll be sure to keep an eye on this story as it keeps on giving!
