Rosario Dawson is very much in love with Cory Booker! In a new interview for Bustle, Dawson shared why she feels dating the politician is worth it. "It’s the first time I felt like I had to be responsible about my choice of love, which is a challenging thing to do,” Dawson admits. “If you fall in love, you fall in love. But there’s another aspect I had to consider: what this meant in [putting] a microscope on my family and particularly on my daughter".

Dawson on relationship with Booker: "we found our person"
Dawson being romantically linked to Booker did end up lending some celebrity status to his presidential campaign, which came to an end this January. When Dawson and Booker first met in the summer of 2018 however, it wasn't love at first sight! Booker shared in an interview with the Washington Post that initially, "there was no love connection there". But after the two met up again just a few months later at a mutual friend's political fundraiser, things changed! "We talked for hours and hours," Booker said.
Dawson feels she has Booker "in the centre of the storm" with her
Rosario Dawson also opened up about how her relationship with Cory Booker is different from her past relationships. "For my whole life, I’ve always felt like, even when I got into a relationship, I was trying to be the center of the storm and everything was just this maelstrom out there," she said. "But for the first time, I feel like I have someone in the center of the storm with me".
Booker feels similarly when it comes to his relationship with Dawson. "I’m not sure if I’ve ever fully given myself over to a relationship as much as I have with her and allowed myself to be as vulnerable," he shared. As for how the two keep their relationship in bloom even when they're not physically together, they have their ways!
According to the Washington Post interview, they make time for two FaceTime calls a day whenever possible. Booker also sends Dawson music every morning as well as reads to her over the phone, and the two are planning a holiday together! “We’re here and we’re thriving," Dawson says of their relationship. "And I want more of that. And I want that for the rest of my life".
