Fans went nuts when Keanu Reeves made his red carpet debut with Alexandra Grant going public with their relationship in November 2019 at the LACMA Art + Film Gala. Now, it appears that the couple has actually been an item for longer than we thought.

Alexandra Grant's friend, actress Jennifer Tilly spoke to Page Six about the couple on Wednesday night. "I remember a couple of years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Grant] said, ‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend,’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?'" she revealed.

They have been "dating for several years"

"It’s really astonishing to me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she goes to an event with him and everybody goes insane, like, ‘It’s his new girlfriend,' [even though she] had gone to a lot of events with him [in the past]. It’s just suddenly surfaced that he’s been dating her for several years," Tilly said according to People.

Keanu and Alexandra first met in 2011

Jennifer went on to say that the two of them are "sort of the perfect couple" noting that they have a lot in common and gushing that Keanu "is a really great guy." Alexandra is a 47-year-old American visual artist and first met Reeves when they worked together on Keanu's 2011 book Ode to Happiness.

Their second collaboration was the 2016 book Shadows, also written by Reeves and illustrated by Grant. The couple has founded X Artists' Books, which is a publishing house they established in 2017. We are incredibly happy for them!
