Reality star Kelly Osbourne, 36, has been battling addiction problems for a long time. After four years of abstaining from alcohol, she recently relapsed. This was confirmed by an insider with RadarOnline.
Kelly Osbourne is in rehab after a relapse
Osbourne is now in rehab in Austin, Texas. The relapse is said to be partly due to the difficult situations facing the Osbourne family at the moment.
Kelly's mom Sharon Osbourne was recently ousted from The Talk after a scandal and allegations of racism. Her dad Ozzy Osbourne, himself a former addict, is dealing with Parkinson's disease.
"Kelly felt everything hit her at once," an insider reported.
In a recent interview with The Sun, Kelly also revealed where her relapse began. She recalled: "I was alone, sitting by a pool and waiting for somebody to come have a meeting with me.
"And I saw this woman and her husband had a glass of champagne. It looked really nice and I was like, 'I can do that, too.' And the next day, I had two glasses. And the day after that, it was bottles."
In the spring, the reality star, who also recently opened up about losing weight, spoke out on Instagram about relapsing and seeking professional support.
"I relapsed. Not proud of it. But I am back on track," said the TV star. Osbourne thanked her fans for their "support and love" and promised to keep fans up to date.
