When Jamie Lee Curtis posted her photo, she made it pretty clear it was her real body. But if you weren't quite sure, the film's director has confirmed no prosthetic was involved.

"Everyone assumes that her belly in the movie is a prosthetic, but it's actually her real belly," said Daniel Scheinert, co-director of Everything Everywhere All At Once. "She was grateful that she was allowed to just let it out," he told EW.

So there you have it. Jamie Lee Curtis originally shared her photo on Instagram with a powerful message about beauty standards and body positivity.

On the movie, Curtis explained: "My instruction to everybody was: I want there to be no concealing of anything. I've been sucking my stomach in since I was 11, when you start being conscious of boys and bodies, and the jeans are super tight.

"I very specifically decided to relinquish and release every muscle I had that I used to clench to hide the reality. That was my goal. I have never felt more free creatively and physically."

And many fans felt Jamie Lee Curtis's attitude was a breath of fresh air. Her film Everything Everywhere All At Once premiered at SXSW on Friday and opens in theatres on March 25.
