Jamie Lee Curtis

The daughter of actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis. She got her big break at acting in 1978 when she won the role of Laurie Strode in "Halloween"

She adopted two kids with husband Christopher Guest: Annie and Thomas. 

Jamie Lee Curtis was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 1992 and was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Spoken Album for Children category for her recording of the children's books she wrote.

After her performance in "Halloween" she received multiple offers and went on to star in movies like "Trading Places" and "A Fish called Wanda".

She starred in one of the biggest action films ever, True Lies, for which she won a Golden Globe Award for her performance. 

Jamie Lee Curtis has since appeared in multiple movies and TV Shows. One of them being "Navy CIS" where she starred as "Dr. Samantha Ryan" along side Mark Harmon.

She can also be seen in "New Girl" as the lead characters (Jessica Day) mother. And as "Dean Cathy Munsch" in "Scream Queens"

- Around the time "True Lies"was released, Jamie appeared in a series of commercials for L'Eggs Pantyhose. The company also took out an insurance policy for her legs. Her Legs are currently ínsured for 2 Million Dollars. 

- It was on her suggestion that "Halloween H20: 20 Years Later" was made.
