Priscilla Presley was only 14 years old when she first met the "King of Rock n' Roll" Elvis Presley. A couple of years later they got married and welcomed their daughter Lisa Marie in 1968. For many people Priscilla and Elvis made a perfect couple, but it seems like there were some ups and downs. Now, 42 years after Elvis Presley's death, the American actress opened up about her marriage with the Rock n' Roll star.
Priscilla Presley wants to tell the truth
During an interview on WSFM's Jonesy and Amanda show, the 74-year-old actress explained why her relationship with Elvis ended only six years after getting married. It seems like Elvis' "infidelities" were the main problem: "There's a lot of temptation, a lot of infidelity and I just couldn't live it any longer, I wasn't willing to share my man," said Priscilla, before adding that "it was just a very difficult lifestyle, rock n' roll is not glamorous."
Priscilla says she could never forgive herself
Priscilla said that she could never forgive herself if she died without telling the truth about her life and her relationship with Elvis, that's why she is promoting her tour "Elvis and Me: An Evening with Priscilla Presley" which begins in November: "I don't want to leave this world in the hands of other people writing my story", said the actress.
Elvis Presley passed away in 1977 at the age of 42 due to prescription drug abuse. According to Priscilla, if Elvis hadn't died, he would have continued to struggle with his personal problems: “I think that he would always have his demons", she said.
