Kate Hudson is showing that beauty runs in the family! As People reports, Hudson unveiled her cover for People's annual Beautiful Issue when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and it features her posing with daughter Rani Rose and mom Goldie Hawn!
"Doing anything with my mom, we never do that, it’s such a joy," the actress tells DeGeneres in the clip from the upcoming Ellen episode, which is set to air on Wednesday. And with everything that's currently going on in the world, Hudson— who's also the mother of two sons, Bingham and Ryder— says that she has a renewed appreciation for her family.
Hudson says that "family is everything", especially right now
Hudson revealed that she was thrilled to be on the cover of People's Beautiful Issue with two of the most important people in her life. "I was so happy they asked about it being a family picture, because it’s now more than ever, family is everything, isn’t it?" she said.
She also reflected on the importance of remaining unified in solidarity to keep one another safe and healthy right now. "At the end of the day when you boil it all down, we’re all doing what we can by staying in for the sake of not only everybody, but the health of our families and to protect our unit," Hudson explained. "I think that the message of a strong unit is really important and beautiful".

DeGeneres asked Hudson if the previous year's Beautiful Issue cover star Jennifer Garner had reached out at all to her, to which Hudson offered an honest reply suggesting she hadn't. "I’m sure we’re both doing the same thing," she said, "which is homeschooling!"
Hudson shares some of her essentials while in self-quarantine
Hudson also talked about how she's been dealing with quarantine during her appearance on Ellen. Since she's the founder of the athleisure brand Fabletics as well as vodka brand King St. Vodka, Hudson already has easy access to two quarantine must-haves for many... comfy clothes and alcohol!
"I used to say I live in my Fabletics, but I am truly living in my Fabletics," Hudson shared. "And I have a garage full of vodka". She mentioned that during these challenging times, she's chosen to donate 30 percent of proceeds from her vodka to the United States Bartenders Guild. "It just makes sense for us to be supporting the bartenders," she said. "They’re all out of work right now".
