Katie Holmes wants to do her part as a parent to ensure that daughter Suri grows up as someone who's uniquely herself! And according to a new interview for InStyle's April 2020 cover story, it sounds like Holmes is succeeding as she watches Suri do just that. “I love her so much," Holmes said of her daughter.

Holmes wants to ensure Suri is "strong, confident, and able"

Holmes expressed to InStyle how important it is to her that Suri grows up in a way that allows her to be bold and authentic. "My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality, to make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able," Holmes shared. And to know it. She came out very strong — she’s always been a strong personality."

Holmes also mentioned how now that Suri has grown out of her so-called "girlie stage", she's devoted herself to a variety of different passions and interests. And from the sounds of it, Suri gives everything she does her full effort. "She’ll pick an activity and work her butt off until she’s really good at it. Then she’s like, ‘Okay, I’m going to try the next thing,’" Holmes shared. "She’s very focused and a hard worker".
