The fact is, it's getting harder and harder to trust your own eyes. The sponsored video appeared official with MrBeast's logo and a verified check mark by his name. But internet-savvy users saw through the gimmick immediately, Insider reports. "Wow! TikTok you're so good at moderating ads," a TikTok user said.
TikTok and others need to do more to stop this
And thank goodness for that, because many others were fooled. MrBeast confirmed that he had nothing to do with the ad. "Lots of people are getting this deepfake scam ad of me… are social media platforms ready to handle the rise of AI deepfakes? This is a serious problem," he said on X.
