Mr. T just announced that he got the COVID-19 booster shot, and fans are really enjoying how he shared the news.
The 69-year-old star took to Twitter to express his excitement about getting the additional protection this weekend. And let's just say he announced it in true Mr. T fashion.
Mr. T announces COVID-19 booster shot on Twitter
Mr. T tweeted: "I am Blessed and I am Thankful. I just got my Booster Vaccination shot. My arm is a little sore but no pain. I Pity Pain! Thanks again to all the Doctors and Nurses."
Soon after, the Rocky III actor followed up by tweeting: "Even though I am fully vaccinated, I will still wear my mask and keep my distance, thank you."
Mr. T's name began trending on Twitter after his charming tweet. Most fans cheered him on, while the anti-vaxx crowd predictably chimed in to disown the '80s film and TV star.
"Mr. T, thanks for setting a great example for others," one fan wrote. Ex-NBA star Rex Chapman added: "Mr. T is a national treasure."
Building on Mr. T's style, another Twitterer wrote: "I pity the fools who aren't as honest, respectful of science and considerate of the health of others, as Mr. T. Real men get vaxxed."
On the flip side, one apparently triggered user wrote: "You can add Mr. T to the long list of has been actors and performers who I don't give a crap about what they have to say about anything."
But Mr. T's original tweet has racked up well over 100K likes, so it appears the Internet has ruled in favour of the actor today.
