After 30 years as a superstar singer and actor, Latin music legend Marc Anthony gets his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and fans couldn't be happier. Marc is by far the most successful tropical Latin singer in history.

After decades in the spotlight, the numbers are remarkable: a career concert gross of around half a billion dollars, 33 No. 1 hits on a variety of Billboard charts, dozens of RIAA gold and platinum certifications, 8 billion YouTube plays, two Grammys, six Latin Grammys and more, according to 'Variety' magazine. Born Marco Antonio Muñíz in East Harlem, New York City, he grew up with a speech impediment...

Marc Anthony sits among the greats now

"I stuttered all my life," he told 'CBS This Morning.' in 2016. "But when I sang, I didn’t stutter. And that was my preferred way of communicating."

Growing up in his neighbourhood meant he was surrounded by Latin music, particularly the retro-Cuban salsa boom that exploded during the ’70s. "Everybody played their own music out the window,"
he recalled. His musical life and career wasn't really planned according to him.

"I never thought in a million years that it would be salsa or Spanish in any way, shape, or form," he told 'Billboard' magazine. For one thing, he didn’t speak Spanish very well despite growing up with it. But eventually he picked up the rhythm, and the rest is history.

Besides his family, there was another famous face there to celebrate his new star. Soccer superstar and current Inter Miami owner David Beckham was hiding in attendance. According to TMZ, Beckham surprised his good friend, and gave a super emotional speech. Apparently, Becks was hidden until the singer's star was unveiled on the famous strip of sidewalk in Los Angeles.

Anthony was fired up to see his close friend, and the two shared not one, but two long embraces together. It turns out, they're very good friends, and have been for some time now.

They became pals a couple decades ago, and have shared many big moments together including back in July, when Beckham met Anthony's newborn child. Isn't that adorable?

Let's hope to see more of them in the future!
