Orlando Bloom has praised his ex-wife and mother of his 10-year-old son Flynn as an "amazing mother, co-parent and friend" and it seems his partner Katy Perry feels the same. Katy Perry joined Miranda Kerr's Instagram Live to rave about her new product and the pair gushed about their children.
Katy Perry and Miranda Kerr's Friendship
Orlando Bloom's ex-wife Miranda Kerr had a surprising guest on her Instagram live: Orlando's fiancé Katy Perry! Miranda launched her latest KORA Organic product so Katy joined to help rave about it and the pair opened up about their friendship and motherhood.
Miranda and Orlando share their son Flynn and she has two young boys with her husband Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel and Katy has her baby girl Daisy Dove with Orlando. Both Miranda and Katy referred to their relationship as their "modern family" and Katy expressed gratuity for Miranda being the "most health-conscious" of the family.
Miranda seems to care for Katy's family as well and sends them products or advice for healthy snacks that fit their needs. Miranda even took a health course from Stanford! The pair have also bonded over their strong sense of motherhood. Miranda explained, "The kids are my number one love. It's just the best thing in the world, being a mom."
New mom Katy agreed, "It's the best job, and the most fulfilling. I feel like I got the opportunity to climb every single mountain, especially career-wise, and see those views, and a lot of them I'm really grateful for. But there was no feeling like the feeling of when I had my daughter."
Katy opened up about how she had been "searching" for this love and her daughter gave her a feeling of "wholeness." Miranda described the feeling as "the heart-opener of all heart-openers." Katy has struggled with approval from the public because their love for her fluctuates. "Sometimes you are beloved, and then sometimes people are like, 'Nah, I don't like that. Moving on.'"
"But the love from your children is constant and unconditional and isn't based on what you have, what you don't have, what career, what product. And so that's definitely made me feel so full, to know that there's this unwavering, unconditional love. Nothing is being asked of me, just to be a mother. And that comes naturally."
Miranda and Katy clearly had quite a lot of love and respect for each other as mothers and whose children are now half-siblings. Katy expressed, "I'm so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that because I didn't want to miss out on that opportunity... It's been the best. But you know that because you've got three!"
Miranda said, "Three boys! It's wild. I will pinch myself. I feel so lucky to be a mom." Check out the full interview here:
