Kim Kardashian has always been a bit more coy and private about what led to the split of her and Kanye West, but leave it to the rap star to let it all air out!
Kanye West posted to his Instagram Friday a message to his fans and spilled some tea about struggles in his relationship, and divulged some information about Kim Kardashian.
Kanye West reveals it all
In his Instagram post he titled "Thanksgiving Prayer", West reveals that he has been struggling with more than just his bipolar disorder and divorce from Kim Kardashian but also exposes his battle with alcoholism and the strain his political activism had on his marriage.
In the five-minute-long clip, West, who legally changed his name to Ye earlier this year, begins by thanking his fans, friends and family, and even his haters.
He went on to share that he took his son Saint to his first football game, and even got to play catch with a famous footballer.
"I’m writing this prayer on my way back from taking my mini me to his first football game. Saint got to play catch with Tom Brady before the game. This is a God’s dream," he said.
He then went on to share how he's hurting and healing from the split of his family and reveals that he fully takes accountability for his actions and divulges to fans he suffers from alcoholism.
He said, "I take accountability for my actions. The one thing that all my successes and failures have in common is me."
He continued, "Let’s start with A, alcohol. I would drink to take the stress away, knock the edge off. Drinking affected my health and the health of people around me. Because I already had a hair-trigger temper and this just heightened it."
West then shared more about his mental health which many fans are aware the rapper suffers from bipolar disorder.
"B, episodes," he started. "I went into a manic episode in 2016 and I was placed under heavy medication. Since then I went on and off the medication which left me susceptible to other episodes which my wife and family and fans have had to endure."
Ye then continues to share his recognition of his ego and temper, and notes that his dive into Christianity didn't make him a better person, but made him a "self-righteous Christian."
He continues that Kim Kardashian wasn't always supportive of his every move, specifically his MAGA hat and presidential run.
"Good lord my wife did not like me wearing the red hat. Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family," he said. "I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood's political stance and that was hard for our marriage."
He continues, "Then I ran for president without proper preparation and no allies on either side. I embarrassed my wife in the way that I presented information about our family during the one and thank God only press conference."
Ye has also stated recently that he doesn't want to separate from Kardashian, but Kardashian seems to have already moved on, as has been seen linked with Pete Davidson.
