• Kaley Cuoco says she wanted to be in Knives Out 2
  • The actress talks about auditioning for it
  • Cuoco shares what project she landed instead

Kaley Cuoco might have been hoping to be in the sequel to Rian Johnson's 2019 whodunnit Knives Out, but it just wasn't in the cards for her! The Flight Attendant star is featured in the April issue of Glamour, and she told the magazine why losing out on the role was an emotional experience.

Cuoco was "so convinced" she'd be in Knives Out 2

Cuoco shared that she had auditioned for Knives Out 2, and thought it was going to be a sure thing for her. She said she had been "so convinced that my bags were packed for Greece," which is where the movie was filmed, but ultimately lost out on the role to Kate Hudson. While she said that she's "not [normally] devastated over roles," Cuoco admitted she "cried and I cried all night long" after she found out she didn't get the part.

The actress did go on to say that Hudson is "great," and shared why not being in the movie ended up working out to her advantage! Cuoco told Glamour that just a day after finding out she lost the Knives Out 2 role, she fell in love with the script for Meet Cute, which she would end up starring in alongside Pete Davidson. She called it "the most magical little script," saying that she "couldn't be happier with how things turned out."
