Jodie Sweetin is an American actress, who rose to fame as a child star in the series Full House, where she played "Stephanie Tanner", the middle of the three "Tanner" sisters.
Jodie Lee Ann Sweetin was born on January 19, 1982 in Los Angeles, United States. Jodie made her television debut in the series The Hogan Family, in which she played the role of "Pamela" when she was only five years old. However, her leap to fame came that same year, when in 1987 she was chosen to play "Stephanie" in the series Full House. That role went on to become the most famous of Jodie's career to date after she played it from the late 1980s until 1995. During her career, Jodie has appeared in other series such as Brotherly Love, Party of Five, Yes, Dear, as well as in films such as Redefining Love, Port City, and several TV movies. In addition, as of 2016, Jodie was also part of Fuller House, the sequel to Full House, in which she plays "Stephanie Tanner" again.
Jodie has had to go through difficult moments in her life related to the addictions she experienced in the past. After playing "Stephanie Tanner" in Full House, Jodie fell into addictions, which made her live several stormy years. She herself has revealed that the end of Full House became difficult to cope with. Thus, it was at the age of 14 when Jodie started drinking alcohol. For part of the next 15 years, Jodie used drugs such as ecstasy, methamphetamines, crack, among others. In 2009 Jodie published her book UnSweetined, in which she narrates the drug and alcohol abuse she had since the end of Full House. In that book, Jodie stated that it has been since 2008 when she left her addictions aside and became completely sober and clean, something that since then has helped her a lot to improve her life.
