Most red carpets are full of high-class dresses and designer jewelry, but for Jamie Lee Curtis' latest film, Halloween Kills, she decided to take on a different kind of look!
Her mother, Janet Leigh, is a horror icon, working with the famous Alfred Hitchcock in the Halloween 1960 staple film, Psycho. Now, 60 years later, Curtis is paying homage to her mother in the most gruesome way!
Blood and guts make their way to the red carpet
Halloween isn't for the faint of heart, and Hollywood's biggest scream queen is being honoured by none other than her own daughter!
The Alfred Hitchcock classic film Psycho is widely recognized by horror lovers, and Janet Leigh was one of the first female horror icons!
Now 60 years later, her own daughter, Jamie Lee Curtis, hits the red carpet on her own horror film, the latest rendition of the Halloween franchise, Halloween Kills.
The film's red carpet premiere encouraged costumes and Curtis showed up wearing the iconic baby blue dress and a bloodied shower curtain after the famous shower scene to embody Leigh's famous role as "Marion Crane."
"I am honouring my beautiful late mama, Janet Leigh, but... it's a little more meta than that," Curtis told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet.
"I am actually going as Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh in the movie Hitchcock. So it's meta because we never knew what colour Janet Leigh's dress was because it was a black-and-white movie," she added.
Curtis further explained, "I was worried you would see this and just think I looked like a '50s housewife. So I thought, you know, maybe I need a little bloody shower curtain."
Halloween Kills premieres in theatres and on Peacock TV on October 15.
