As is customary these days for any celebrity when it comes to sharing personal news, Corden took to his personal Instagram page to tell his fans why he won't be appearing in the next few episodes of his show. Corden wrote: "I just tested positive for covid 19. I'm fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine. The show will be off the air for the next few days. Stay safe everyone. All my love, James x."

This follows similar announcements from other late night talk show hosts, including Seth Meyers who announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, The Tonight Show host, comedian Jimmy Fallon revealed on Monday that he had contracted COVID-19 during his holiday break, but has since recovered.

James Corden Tests Positive for COVID-19!

As would be expected, CBS has cancelled all episodes of the show for the foreseeable future, postponing production until the British comedian is fully recovered. Unfortunately, this is not a first for television over the last year, as other shows have also been affected by the pandemic.

COVID-19 has also affected daytime TV hosts as well, including Today's Hoda Kotb and The View's Whoopi Goldberg both revealing they had the illness this week as well. But in Hollywood, the show must go on regardless of what is happening in the world.

Fans were quick to send Corden their best wishes, and so far, he seems to be in good spirits with only mild symptoms. Let's hope to see one of the funniest people on television back in action very soon. Until then, we'll always have the reruns!
