But, thankfully, Mandel is now out of hospital and recovering after the fall. The 65-year-old took to Twitter to reassure fans, writing on Wednesday night: "I am home and doing better."
As for what happened, Howie said: "I was dehydrated and had low blood sugar. I appreciate the great doctors and nurses that took such good care of me."
"Thank you to everyone who reached out but I am doing ok!" he added.
The initial report about Mandel's hospital stay suggested low blood sugar could have been behind the frightening incident, and it turns out that was the case.
It's great to hear that the America's Got Talent judge is doing well and was sent on his way so soon. Take care of yourself, Howie!
