According to the rumours, Shakira suffered a nervous breakdown and even cried in public. Then came the announcement of Shakira and her boyfriend's break-up.

She assures that the hospitalization had nothing to do with her separation, but with her father. "Guys, I'm getting a lot of messages of concern that I was seen in an ambulance in Barcelona recently," she wrote.
"I just wanted to let you know that those photos are from last weekend (the 28th), when my dad unfortunately had a bad fall and I accompanied him in an ambulance to the hospital where he is recovering now."
With the statement, Shakira posted a photo of herself together with her father, which you can see in the video above. His wounds from the scary fall are still clearly visible.
Shakira and her longtime partner Gerard Piqué are just the latest celeb couple to call it quits this year, sadly.
