- The British royals may be getting a new addition to the family
- Will there be another puppy after Orla the dog?
According to the 'Express', Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6) could soon welcome new animal companions into their home. After welcoming their dog Orla in 2021, Prince William has hinted that the family could perhaps take in more puppies after a "tough year".
New puppy for the royals?
At the reopening of Birtley Community Pool, Prince William told a fan that family dog Orla might have offspring. However, he added that this "takes a while". This prospect of new playmates for his children could be a welcome distraction for the family, as Kinsey Scofield noted on the 'Kinsey Scofield Unfiltered' podcast.
Orla, the family's beloved spaniel, has already taken a special place in the royals' lives. She was featured in Princess Charlotte's birthday photos for her eighth birthday in 2023 and also starred in an intimate family video. Shot by Will Warr, the video made it clear that Orla is part of the family and an important part of Kate, William, and the children's lives.
The royals are true dog lovers. Before Orla, William and Kate already had their dog Lupo. William also grew up with the Queen's Corgies.
