Meg Ryan makes her return to rom-coms
Meg Ryan (61) dominated the romantic comedy genre for decades. She starred in films such as 'When Harry Met Sally', You've Got Mail' and 'Sleepless In Seattle'. Now the rom-com leading lady is making a return!
The iconic actress is not only starring in the upcoming film, 'What Happens Later', she is also directing it. The film is about Willa and Bill, played by Meg Ryan and David Duchovny (63), who are ex-lovers that end up getting stuck in an airport together during a snow storm.
"Sometimes there's a question of: Will they be together? Will they not be together?" Meg Ryan says in an interview with 'EW'. "For that reason, [What Happens Later] sort of evolves the rom-com genre just a little bit. It's also about old people, and it's still romantic and sexy," she continues.
