Fan-favorite Matthew Perry became famous with his role on the hit series Friends whilst playing the role of "Chandler". Matthew had always had a problem with substance abuse. After his jet ski accident, he got hooked on the addictive pain medication Vicodin. He told People that "It wasn’t my intention to have a problem with it. The Harry Potter star realized he had gotten to a dark place and forced to isolate himself. He told ShortList magazine "I was living in constant fear of who I'd meet, what I might have said to them, what I might have done with them, so I'd stay in my apartment for days and drink alone. I was a recluse at 20. It was pathetic, it wasn't me. I'm a fun, polite person, and it turned me into a rude bore."
