Elton John was diagnosed with walking pneumonia - a less severe form of pneumonia - before his concert in Auckland, New Zealand. The singer attempted to brave his condition during the show, but had to conclude the set earlier than planned.
After cancelling the remainder of his Auckland concert, the "Rocket Man" singer offered a sincere apology on Twitter.

Elton John back on tour after the 2020 Oscars
The singer, who was the subject of the 2019 Elton John movie Rocketman, is fresh off a big night at the 2020 Oscars.
Sir Elton performed during the ceremony and took home the Oscar for Best Original Song - his "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" featured in Rocketman.
He's currently in the middle of his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour," which began back in 2018. It includes over 300 dates, and is intended to be Elton's last tour.

Despite his early exit, Elton received praise and well-wishes from fans. They were very grateful for his appearance and effort at the Auckland show.
We wish Sir Elton a quick recovery! The 72-year-old singer is next scheduled to perform on Tuesday, February 18, but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll be ready for that date.
