This year's Oscars are a busy night for Elton John! For starters, he's scheduled for a musical performance during the show. His track, "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again," is also nominated in the Best Original Song category. It appeared in the biopic from 2019 about his life, Rocketman.
Following Elton's onstage performance, the singer will then depart from the Dolby Theatre and head to his annual Oscars viewing party - which is an AIDS Fundraiser event.

Rocketman at the Oscars
Taron Egerton portrayed Sir Elton in Rocketman - and won the Golden Globe for Best Actor In a Musical or Comedy for the role! But Egerton's publicity run for Rocketman is reportedly over.
However, Egerton and Elton John did form a very strong friendship over the course of the film's production and its awards season promotion.
Look for Egerton to receive a shoutout from Sir Elton if "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" takes the award for Best Original Song! The song would appear to be the favourite after already winning the award at the Critics' Choice Awards and the Golden Globes.
