The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been put on hold while the renowned host recovers from her frightening coronavirus diagnosis. Now Ellen herself has given fans a video update on her health.
Ellen DeGeneres' Coronavirus Symptoms
On December 10th, Ellen informed her fans and viewers that she tested positive for the coronavirus. While it was scary news at first, she seemed to make it through.
Ellen DeGeneres has just posted a video to her social media to give her fans a health update. She started the video with, "Hi everybody, just saying thank you to all the well wishes out there. I appreciate it very much. I am feeling 100 percent. I feel really good."
She is one of many celebrities who have been struck with the virus. Countless stars have passed from the virus while others like Ellen have made it through to the other side. Ellen quickly went into quarantine and isolated to recover.
Ellen also explained a surprising symptom that affected her, "One thing they don't tell you is you get, somehow, excruciating back pain. Didn't know that was a symptom. Who knew? How come? Back pain. Bad."
In the video taken by her Arrested Development star wife Portia de Rossi, Ellen appears a bit weak, with a raspy voice but is proudly feeling much better. She was even able to defeat her wife in a rapid game of connect four!

This has all come in the wake of the toxic workplace environment scandal over the summer. Ellen had directly addressed the accusations and she and production have let go of a few major names attached to the show while promising to do better.
Hopefully, Ellen will be able to return to the show as soon as possible.
