Dua Lipa isn't letting past criticism about her dance moves get her down! The "Don't Start Now" singer was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, and she explained why she chose to incorporate a routine she was once ridiculed for into her new tour choreography.
Lipa explains her "fondness" towards viral dance
Lipa released her self-titled debut album back in 2017, which is the same year a clip of her dancing at one of her shows went viral online. Fallon mentioned that while online haters called the choreo "lazy" and "uninspired," Lipa's fans have enjoyed her moves. That's when Lipa revealed she's "reclaiming" the dance five years later for her Future Nostalgia Tour!
The "Levitating" singer, who recently got hit with a lawsuit for her chart-topping song, went on to share she used to be upset by comments people made online about the dance. She reflected on how it initially "caused me a lot of grief, like I was being bullied online," which she said "wasn't very nice." However, she has since come to think about it in a much more positive way.
