James Bond: Daniel Craig has mixed feelings on his role
Craig had earlier made headlines after Spectre when he stated that he'd "rather slash his wrists" than portray "007" again. Yet he returned for No Time To Die, which will premiere in November 2020.
GQ asked the outspoken actor about these comments. He clarified where he was coming from at the time, referencing the extreme physical commitment required for the role.
"I was never going to do one again. I was like, 'Is this work really genuinely worth this, this whole thing?' And I didn’t feel — I physically felt really low. So the prospect of doing another movie was just like, it was way off the cards. And that’s why it has been five years."

Daniel Craig exits with "Bond 25" on his own terms
In the interview, Craig further expressed a dislike of the publicity angle of portraying "James Bond." But he's embraced the role throughout, and he's now ready to leave it behind - on his own terms.
"I'm OK. I don’t think I would have been if I'd done [Spectre] and that had been it. But [with No Time To Die], I'm like — 'Let's go. Let's get on with it.' I'm fine."
No Time To Die postponed: "James Bond" movie delayed by coronavirus
No Time To Die was scheduled for an April 2020 release, which would have coincided with Craig's GQ feature. But due to the coronavirus's effect on the global theatre industry, No Time To Die was recently postponed until November 2020.
Craig will have to hold onto the title of "007" for a few months longer.
