Yvette Nicole Brown who starred in Community was born on August 12, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio. When she graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in communications, she decided to head west to Los Angeles to undergo acting classes!
Her acting career start wasn't until the '90s, where she appeared in minor parts in shows like Malcolm in the Middle and That's So Raven. She eventually had a recurring role on Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh, and even reprised this role in Victorious.
It was in 2009 when she would be cast as "Shirley" in the hit series Community. She eventually left the show to take care of her ill father.
